Favorite shooter huh? I really could not pick one. Right now my two favs are Halflife 2 and Doom 3. I also love the old Dooms, Halflife, and any shooter that is fun and plays well.

Good call. Doom is one of the greatest games of all time and people don't give it enough credit. By the way I played wolfenstein 3D this week.

the thing i love about all the dooms is the speed at which they play, how they play, and the scare factor. all of them run great! they run fast; i remember playin Doom 2 on a 286 processor and it ran as fast as it does on my computer now. they all play fast and the controls are simple. you can pick it up and play with no trouble. with the simple controls and fast play, the levels are complex enough to make you think, but not so hard you throw the game out the window. the scare factor is one of the great things about the games. wether it is a pixilated imp of the first doom or the eye candy ones of doom 3 they still make me jump when they come out of nowhere. overall i think the doom series has been a huge influence on how i look at shooters. they are a standard to which i hold a lot of games.

Exactly, and that is why I don't think people give it enough credit.

I'm really into Final Doom right now, just because it's so hard.
